Patient Satisfaction – Almater Care Team
It is necessary to begin thinking about your discharge plans early in your hospital stay. It is extremely important to everyone on your Almater Care Team that you be in the best of health before you are released. Our Patient Services Coordinators are here to help you and your family arrange an appropriate discharge plan. We understand that each patient has different needs, and we pride ourselves on our ability to carefully establish a plan to best suit each patient’s individual needs.
Once your doctor informs you that you are ready to return home, your team of nurses will discuss ongoing care with you. You will receive a written discharge plan that outlines details for follow-up care that your doctor has ordered on your behalf. It is possible that you may not be discharged until the follow-up services required in your written discharge plan are secured or determined by Almater Hospital to be reasonably available in your home area. You also have the right to appeal your discharge plan.
Your hospital bill will be closed out once your attending physician decides to discharge you and signs your medical release. Once complete, you will be notified about how to proceed with payment.
We wish to provide you with world-class care during your stay in Mexicali and send you home in the best of health.
Patient Satisfaction Survey
Prior to leaving the hospital, your Patient Services Coordinator will provide you with a patient satisfaction survey, which will ask you about your stay at Almater Hospital. We ask that you please take a moment to complete and return this survey. Your opinions are very important to us and help us take steps to improve our hospital and the healthcare experience for our patients and families.
Discharge Phone Call
At Almater Hospital, we are always looking for ways to better serve our patients and families. Following your discharge, you may receive a discharge phone call from one of our hospital staff members. The purpose of this call is to inquire about your experience during your stay at our hospital, check in on your healing and health and make your transition home as easy as possible. Please inform your nurse prior to your discharge the most convenient phone number and time for this call. Thank you.Back to Patient Guide
